Description

🎉✨ Join us for a special Capoeira Workshop in celebration of Latine Heritage Month, brought to you by La Plaza and the Black Student Coalition! ✨🎉

Capoeira is more than just a martial art—it’s a powerful expression of Afro-Brazilian culture and resilience. Developed by enslaved Africans in Brazil as a form of resistance and survival, Capoeira combines elements of dance, music, and acrobatics, symbolizing freedom and community.

This workshop will be led by the Washington Capoeira Center, and we’ll have delicious Brazilian snacks and drinks for participants. 🍪🍹 Please be on time and ready to engage for the full two hours as we honor the roots of this AfroLatine tradition and its ongoing legacy. 🙌🏽✨

This event centers AfroLatinidad and is part of our efforts to uplift and celebrate the rich diversity within the Latine community. See you there! 🎶🌎
