Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Date

- 2:00pm

Location

Sehome High School

Description

Each year, our community comes together to learn, celebrate, and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Many in our community continue to struggle, guiding us urgently towards collective service.

All are invited to engage in a day of service, gratitude, and community.  Free breakfast for all participants.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. catalyzed hope to transform communities in the face of racial hate and violence. Navigating the complexities of our local community challenges, we move towards collective consciousness and demonstrate our commitment to purposeful action through volunteerism, advocacy, supporting marginalized voices, and actively engaging with the issues around us.  Please join the movement and contribute to this important day of service in honor of Dr. King’s work and the ongoing journey toward a more just and equitable society.

This day is presented by education, city, and nonprofit institutions in Whatcom County.

We are Community in Action. We are Materializing Hope.
